NK Ballet Foundation

We believe in the power of the arts and ballet in particular to enhance every child’s development

The NK Ballet Foundation Annual Charity Fundraising Afternoon Tea

On 24th April, over 50 guests joined us at the beautiful Cadogan Hotel for a fundraising afternoon tea - to learn more about our work supporting young dancers on their journey to becoming professional ballet dancers.

Seven students from NKBS each performed a special solo for our guests, many of whom told us afterwards they were all very touched and inspired by these young dancers.

Every donation no matter how big or small can directly change the lives of these young aspiring dancers with big dreams; who, with your support, are on their way to becoming our future generation of ballet stars. Thank you for your support!

Please donate here.

NK Ballet Foundation is a charity registered in England and Wales (charity number 1178357), formed in May 2018 with the vision of bringing the benefits of ballet training to young people who may otherwise not have the opportunity or means to take part.

Through our bursaries programme, we provide means-tested financial support for the costs associated with ballet education. Our vision is to help ensure the most passionate and dedicated young dancers can perfect their technique, mature artistically and realise their dreams of entering the best ballet institutions, without being held back by economic circumstances.

We desire to provide aspiring dancers, as well as the wider community, greater access and opportunity to experience the joy of ballet and dance regardless of background, gender, ethnicity, physical ability and financial circumstances.

Roman, Aged 15, Bursary Recipient

Ballet is my absolute passion! The music, variations, costumes and feelings of pure joy I get from ballet are everything to me. Ballet has focused me, it commands me to work hard and enjoy my results and performance. My dream is get into a great upper school, continue my training and ballet education and perform worldwide with renowned ballet companies. A principal dancer is of course my ultimate goal and would allow me to dance with the best dancers in the world!

A Message from our Founder

To become a professional ballet dancer takes between 8-12 years of training and involves plenty of tears, much sweat and for a ballerina’s toes, often a little blood as well….
